Pet Day 2018

The 20 th June 2018 was indeed a special day for St. Michael Junior School. The School held it’s very first, much-awaited Pet Day and it was a huge success! Parents, together with their family pets, turned up in large numbers; after a good time of interaction between the children, the parents, their pets and members of staff, Fr. Brendan blessed the animals, and our furry and feathered friends left the school premises, together with the parents.

 The day was not only great fun, but also informative and educational. After the morning’s interactive session with the children’s pets, we welcomed the Malta Police Dog Section, Animal Welfare representatives and members of the Service Dogs Malta Foundation. The children also enjoyed an ice- cream treat on the playground.

The success of this activity is duly attributed to the response and cooperation of the parent community, the team effort on the part of the staff, the different entities who made themselves available on the day, as well as our sponsors, Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd.

Finally, a special note of thanks to the parent community for the generosity shown in donating the sum of €210 towards the Service Dogs Malta Foundation.
