EkoSkola

St. Michael School has embarked on a national project EkoSkola, which gives great importance to sustainable development. EkoSkola is very proactive in promoting young people’s voices on sustainability in local fora, by engaging them in fun, action-orientated and socially responsible learning.

A book sale was organised during Waste Reduction Week. This very successful fundraising activity, in total €1300 was collected, helped teachers, parents and students reflect on the importance of reusing items. The funds collected were used to buy skips and bins to improve the waste management on the school premises, and due to this, the whole school is now contributing towards saving our planet! Thank you for all your support and we will keep you updated about our future projects.

The Ekoskola Committee members would like to announce the two winners of our ‘Anti –Litter’ poster competition. Well Done to Sophie Degiorgio in Year VI and Matthew Satariano in Year V (below). Thank you for doing your part!
